Single End Pulley

At iStudio Projects, our IWEISS Single End Pulley (Part # IWC04), also known as a “Dead End” pulley, is a precision-engineered Channel Curtain Track component designed to anchor and redirect the operating rope at the stationary end of a curtain system. Housing a single 4″ diameter nylon sheave with shielded ball bearings within a durable zinced black formed steel body, the IWC04 clamps securely to the interior of the channel track via bolted attachment. A built-in chain bracket provides a reliable offstage tie-off point for the curtain edge, keeping the leading curtain panel properly anchored at the dead end of the system during operation. Designed for use with 3/8″ rope in straight track configurations, the Single End Pulley is compatible with both bi-part and one-way draw systems — serving as the essential fixed-end counterpart to the Double End Pulley in a complete professional stage curtain track assembly.

Product Description

The IWEISS Single End Pulley, also known as a “Dead End” pulley, contains one 4” diameter nylon sheave with shielded ball bearings mounted in a zinced steel housing that clamps to the interior of our channel track. There is a chain bracket for offstage tie-off of the curtain edge. This pulley is intended for use in a straight track with 3/8” rope for bi-part or one way draw.

N/A

  • Track Compatibility: Install the Single End Pulley on straight Channel Curtain Track only. It is not designed for use on curved track sections.
  • Rope Compatibility: Use only 3/8″ rope with this pulley. Using rope of a different diameter may cause improper seating on the sheave, accelerated wear, or rope disengagement during operation.
  • System Configuration: The Single End Pulley functions as the “Dead End” — the fixed, non-driven end of the curtain rope system. Position it at the offstage end of the track opposite the operating (live) end where the Double End Pulley (IWC03) is installed.
  • Clamping: Secure the zinced steel housing firmly to the interior of the channel track using the bolted attachment. Verify that the pulley is fully clamped and cannot shift along the track under operational rope tension before putting the system into service.
  • Curtain Tie-Off: Use the integrated chain bracket to tie off the offstage edge of the curtain panel at the dead end. Ensure the tie-off is secure and properly tensioned to prevent curtain bunching or misalignment during travel.
  • Rope Routing: Thread the 3/8″ operating rope correctly through the single sheave in the direction appropriate for the draw configuration. Verify smooth, unobstructed rope travel through the pulley before finalizing installation.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the sheave, shielded ball bearing, housing, bolted attachment, and chain bracket for wear, corrosion, or damage. Replace the unit if the sheave shows flat spots, the bearing feels rough, or the housing shows deformation that could affect rope alignment or system performance.
