Single Carrier

At iStudio Projects, our IWEISS Black Single Carrier (Part # IWI28) is a high-performance I-Beam Curtain Track carrier engineered to deliver smooth, quiet, and reliable curtain travel in both straight and curved track applications. Built with a pair of nylon wheels featuring shielded ball bearings and rivet attachment, housed within a zinced black formed steel body, the IWI28 is designed to handle heavier loads than standard carriers while minimizing noise and friction through integrated plastic glide strips in the housing. Compatible with 3/16″ or 1/4″ rope, the carrier suits bi-part and one-way draw systems as well as walk/draw operation, and features a swivel hook and trim chain for flexible, twist-free curtain attachment. Compact at just 1-1/4″w x 5-1/8″h and weighing only 2.7 oz, the IWI28 is rated at 8 lbs per carrier on 12″ spacing — making it an ideal choice for professional stage curtain systems requiring both performance and versatility across straight and curved track layouts.

Product Description

The IWEISS standard I-beam Track Carrier utilizes a pair of nylon wheels and shielded ball bearings. It is designed to take a heavier load than standard carriers. This carrier is intended for use in a straight or curved track with 3/16” or 1/4” rope for bi-part or one way draw, and is also appropriate for walk/draw operation. Plastic glide strips in housing reduce noise and friction.

N/A

  • Track Compatibility: The IWI28 Single Carrier is suitable for use on both straight and curved I-Beam Curtain Track. Confirm that the track profile is compatible with the carrier’s nylon wheel and body dimensions before installation.
  • Rope Compatibility: Use only 3/16″ or 1/4″ rope with this carrier. Do not use rope outside this diameter range as it may cause improper engagement with the carrier or system components.
  • Load Rating: The rated load capacity is 8 lbs per carrier based on 12″ carrier spacing. Do not exceed this load per carrier. Calculate the total curtain weight and divide across the number of carriers to confirm compliance with the load rating.
  • Carrier Spacing: Space carriers at a minimum of 12″ on center to achieve the rated load capacity. Stacking space calculations should be based on the carrier width of 1-1/4″ when determining how carriers stack at the offstage end of the track.
  • Curtain Attachment: Attach the curtain to the swivel hook and trim chain. The swivel hook allows the curtain to hang freely without twisting. Adjust the trim chain to set the correct curtain drop height before finalizing attachment.
  • Operation Modes: Suitable for bi-part draw, one-way draw, and walk/draw operation. Ensure all associated pulleys and hardware are correctly configured for the intended operation mode.
  • Noise & Friction: The plastic glide strips within the housing are designed to reduce noise and friction during travel. If unusual noise or stiffness develops during operation, inspect the glide strips and wheels for wear or debris and clean or replace as needed.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the nylon wheels, shielded ball bearings, swivel hook, and trim chain for wear, damage, or deformation. Replace any carrier that shows signs of wheel flat spots, bearing roughness, or structural damage to maintain safe and smooth curtain operation.
