Double End Pulley

At iStudio Projects, our IWEISS Double End Pulley (Part # IWC03), also known as a “Live End” pulley, is a precision-engineered Channel Curtain Track component designed to guide and redirect the operating rope at the working end of a curtain system. Housing two 4″ diameter nylon sheaves with shielded ball bearings within a durable zinced black formed steel body, the IWC03 clamps directly to the channel track for a secure, stable installation. A built-in chain bracket provides a reliable offstage tie-off point for the curtain edge, keeping the leading curtain panel properly anchored during operation. Designed for use with 3/8″ rope in straight track configurations, the Double End Pulley is compatible with both bi-part and one-way draw systems — making it an essential component for any professionally installed stage curtain track assembly.

Product Description

The IWEISS Double End Pulley, also known as a “Live End” pulley, contains two 4” diameter nylon sheaves with shielded ball bearings mounted in a zinced steel housing that clamps to channel track. There is a chain bracket for offstage tie-off of the curtain edge. This pulley is intended for use in a straight track with 3/8” rope for bi-part or one way draw.

N/A

  • Track Compatibility: Install the Double End Pulley on straight Channel Curtain Track only. It is not designed for use on curved track sections.
  • Rope Compatibility: Use only 3/8″ rope with this pulley. Using rope of a different diameter may cause improper seating on the sheaves, increased wear, or rope disengagement during operation.
  • System Configuration: The Double End Pulley is suitable for both bi-part and one-way draw curtain systems. Confirm the draw configuration before installation to ensure the pulley is correctly oriented at the live end of the system.
  • Clamping: Secure the zinced steel housing firmly to the channel track using the bolted attachment method. Verify that the pulley is fully clamped and cannot shift along the track during operation before putting the system into service.
  • Curtain Tie-Off: Use the integrated chain bracket to tie off the offstage edge of the curtain panel. Ensure the tie-off is secure and that the curtain edge is properly tensioned to prevent bunching or misalignment during travel.
  • Rope Routing: Thread the 3/8″ operating rope correctly through both sheaves in the sequence appropriate for the draw direction. Verify smooth, unobstructed rope travel through the pulley before final installation.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the sheaves, bearings, housing, and chain bracket for wear, corrosion, or damage. Replace the unit if sheaves show flat spots, bearings feel rough, or the housing shows signs of deformation that could affect rope alignment.
